The girls from Lush were very entertaining and they even taught us how to do a proper hand massage with a solid moisturiser bar.
Professional makeup artist Shella Martin who has worked on campaigns such as Witchery demonstrated to us on how to take care of our skin prior to an event/shoot and showed us how to create a natural and a bronzed makeup look on two models. She said that skincare requires a little extra work about 20 minutes before makeup application. This is essential before a special event or photo shoot but she assured us that the results are almost instant and rewarding for both the client and makeup artist. She emphasised that a mild exfoliant will reduce redness and give you or your client a smoother base for makeup application that will last longer.Skincare is a very important step for bridal makeup as it will help the bride achieve a ‘glow from within’ look and keep her makeup lasting all day.
